Orthodontic & Oral Surgery Technology
At Etobicoke Orthodontics & Oral Surgery, the technology we use helps us provide patients with orthodontic and oral surgery care, including panoramic X-rays and an iTero intraoral scanner.
Technologies at Our Orthodontic & Oral Surgery Clinic
At Etobicoke Orthodontics & Oral Surgery, we use technology to help inform treatment planning and ensure your orthodontic and oral surgery appointments run smoothly. We can display panoramic X-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms, and show you any issues in your mouth and guide you through your treatment plan.
We try to provide patients with efficient care, and to ensure they are fully informed about their oral health. Technology helps us achieve this goal.
Panoramic X-Rays
Using panoramic X-rays, your dentist can create a single flat image of your entire mouth. This image represents the upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), nasal and sinus structures and teeth. Panoramic X-rays are typically used to help plan treatments for braces, extractions, implants and dentures.
iTero 3D Scanner
The iTero® intraoral scanner takes accurate, 3D impressions of your bite. An ideal alternative to traditional dental impressions, it allows us to capture highly accurate data and store it digitally, plan your dental treatment in real-time, and create digital replicas of the hard and soft tissues of your mouth to make Invisalign clear aligners.
